New Year, new news.
Sean and I got a house! Sean and I have been house hunting for about a month now and have great friends that have been helping us with this new procedure that we definitely have no clue how to do.
Well each Saturday Sean and I set out to at least look at 4 or 5 houses. The last Saturday we were out we definitely found 2 houses that we would love to buy and even in our price range. There are always goods and bads to every house we have looked at, the bads have been BAD though. Especially the colors these people put on their walls, they have got to be lacking style first thing. Alot of them have been foreclosers which is great for us but then can you imagine the repair that needs to be done these houses.
Sean and I are not in the position to take up a project home, we have family members that we could use as resources because I do have some very talented members of my family that would help with repairs. BUT i don't want to!
Okay to get back to the last house we were going to see, it was getting dark, maybe about 10 minutes of daylight left and these forcloser houses don't have power left in them. So it was dark by the time we got our foot in the front door and so our realtor and I were using our cell phones as flashlights. That of course doesn't give us the best idea of what it looks like, but from what we can see, we LOVE!
Not too many repairs on this house so far, the biggest fix would be buying a sliding glass door. So we take a peek in the back yard, nice and large and a pool. Now pool yes that would be nice to have but I'm not gunna jump for joy because I have already had cancer, skin cancer doesn't need to be another trial in our lives. So everyone please leave your comments about the price of the maintenance of keeping a pool up to a minimum. We already know the pros and con's. Its not like we HAVE to have it filled, at least not till were making millions.
So anyways, back to us still checking the house out, we were checking out the bedrooms and a weird little spare room off to the side of the house, we flipped the light switch and guess what?! Yup there was power on, so this made the nit picking of the house a whole hell of a lot easier.
Little things that have happened to us when looking for a rental and a house have for some reason always worked out in our favor. Or it really could just be we have a realtor that brings us great luck.
Well counter offer after counter offer, we have agreed on a price and now the process is in order.
I cant wait to have keys to our own house that will NOT have red freakin walls. I kinda liked the red walls till it was in every ugly house we looked at and even in the rental we are in now.

I am so excited for you guys and your new house!!!
Yay for Meghan and Sean! I'm so happy for you guys! I hope you have a house warming party when everything is in order! :)
You are now officially adults! I heard somewhere that leaving a pool empty is damaging to it, but I'm sure someone knows more than I do! Congrats!!
