Hmmmm-

Well the outcome of Havik was most certainly not the way I had imaged him, so oh well.
This was our first time handing out candy in a house. Not as many kids out then I expected. Definately Sean and I's favorite came with two fairy sister's so cute with wings, and a little little boy he had to of been 2 or three, and when they said trick or treat this little boy said, " I am alergic to peanut butter" That little boy had the sweetest smallest voice . Sean and I started to laugh it was so cute, he got an extra handful because that was so cute. I'm sure his mom standing on the curb had reminded him to tell people he was alergic to peanuts because she started to giggle when she heard us laughing. So darn cute, we still have left overs too! yes- i love starburst!

Hmmmm i wonder what you guys are gunna think Havik was supposed to be for Halloween. It didnt

The hoarder!

This man really thinks these item are so wonderful he feels the need to display them all year round. And NO this is not a garage sale, this is his home. Apache Junction. He also had no problem with us recording and taking pictures of his precious items. Let me know what you think, then you gotta take a look for yourself to fully understand the magnitude of his obsession.

Educational Advice!

Don't Wait -- Get Help Now Here's what three experts say:

Susan Hall, coauthor of Straight Talk About Reading

Question: How do parents know if their child's reading delay is a real problem or simply a "developmental lag?" How long should parents wait before seeking help in their child is struggling with reading?
Answer:Beware of the developmental lag excuse for several reasons.First, I have listened to parent after parent tell me about feeling there was a problem early on, yet being persuaded to discount their intuition and wait to seek help for their child. Later, when they learned time is of the essence in developing reading skills, the parents regretted the lost months or years.
Second, research shows that the crucial window of opportunity to deliver help is during the first couple of years of school. So if your child is having trouble learning to read, the best approach is to take immediate action. Knowing how soon to act is easy if you know the conclusions of recent research.
Reading researchers say the ideal window of opportunity for addressing reading difficulties is during kindergarten and first grade. The National Institutes of Health state that 95 percent of poor readers can be brought up to grade level if they receive effective help early.
While it is still possible to help an older child with reading, those beyond third grade require much more intensive help. The longer you wait to get help for a child with reading difficulties, the harder it will be for that child to catch up. If help is given in fourth grade (rather than in late kindergarten), it takes four times as long to improve the same skills by the same amount.

Patricia Vail, author of 9 books on Learning Disabilities

If your child has trouble in the early levels of school, get help immediately! Do not wait to see if the child will grow out of it.
Prevention is always easier than remediation.
Learning differences don't disappear spontaneously.
If you worry that receiving extra help will make your child feel different, forget it. Your child already feels different by virtue of

Lookin good

my surgery is over and it was very successful. I am not even in as much pain as the 1st. Obviously this one was just to make them as even as the doc could. I left awake and aware and i even walked myself to the car. i didn't have any complications with the anesthesia either. I was awake all day after the surgery Friday and have just been forcing myself to sleep as much as i can because if i don't i may try to clean a little or just putter around. I am back to work on Monday and i am glad for that because i am a little bored.

Thank you to all who came to see me this time. My momma of course she is the best because she wants to help in any way she can, she brought Sean and i lunch. my mother-in-law Bev for bringing dinner on Friday and my sister in laws Heather and Cecilia for coming to check in on me. I love you all thanks!

Friday October 3rd! 2nd surgery!

Well i have been cancer free since my double mastectomy May 16 2008. I had the immediate reconstructive surgery. A lot of people don't understand the process of what goes down after the 1st surgery is over, and it really isn't smart of me to assume that people know the process so here it goes for those who I haven't told this too.

The 1st surgery was just to remove all of my breast tissue, and replace it with the implants.

The 2ND surgery which I will be having on Friday the 3rd of October, will be to make the shape and size and symmetry of my breast as perfect as possible.
I am extremely impressed with how these girls look after only one surgery but why not make them perfect if i am stuck with them forever.

After this surgery is done and if I am pleased with how they look, then the next surgery will be to start making my nipples. yes i do not have them yet, they are the last things to make so they will be as even as Dr. Jacobson (my reconstructive surgeon) can make them.

Once my boobs are even and the nipples are made then the last process is the tattooing of the areola. Yeah I have only seen them in pics and am anxious and nervous to see how its going to feel. My skin is so very thin and numb for most of it so it could be worse.

If any of you know of anyone who has had the nipples and tattooing done could you refer them to me? i would love to get an insite and opinion and just imformation from anyone who has gone through this. My cousin Stacey has already refered someone and I look forward to speaking with her.

Love you all and I am thankful for family and friends who supported me and who continue to do so for me know. Loves Meghan
